On 22nd March representatives of the Secretariat of the Council of Baltic Sea States (CBSS) visited the University. The delegation included: Dr. Christer Pursiainen - Senior Advisor of CBSS, Joanna Kiryllo – Programme Manager – EU Policies and Jacek Paszkowski - representative of the Swedish Institute. European guests acquainted with the teaching and laboratory facilities of the University, found out the organization of educational process and met with representatives of the faculty.

During the visit, the delegation met with Sergey Sharapov – Deputy Chief of the University of Science. Parties discussed promising areas of scientific cooperation between the University and CBSS in prevention and elimination of emergencies on the territory of the Baltic region.

13-15 March in Minsk (Belarus) Working Group meeting was held at the Coordinating Board of Emergency of the Member States of the Collective Security Treaty.

Cheboksarov Petr – Assistant chief of the University for International Relations – Head of International Center took part in the session of the Working Group of CSTO and gave a presentation on "Work on a draft Recommendation on harmonization of legislation of the States – CSTO members Security Treaty in the field of emergency response."

Draft Recommendations for the harmonization of the legislation states - CSTO members to respond to emergencies has been prepared by The working group of St. Petersburg University of State Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia under the leadership of Professor of Theory and History of State and Law of the University, Doctor of Law, Professor G.K. Artamonova and it was highly appreciated by the participants of the Working Group.

5-10 March the delegation of our University headed by Davidova Lubov Vice-Rector of the University for extrabudgetary Activity - Rector of institute of Life Safety visited Higher school of fire officers training (France).

The delegation got acquainted with the university’s structure, training and material base and system of staff training in Higher school of fire officers training (teaching "platform" - a training center). Parties were negotiated on extending the agreement on cooperation in education between the schools.

25, February 2012 at the invitation of the Administration of Petrodvorets district of St. - Petersburg, creative studio, "Movement ahead" took part at a ceremonial event of Lomonosov - Assigned honorary title of the Russian Federation "City of Military Glory."

17, February Chief of 179 Rescue Center Major- General V. Yatsutsenko gave a report "On results of the humanitarian operation in Kosovo in December 2011" in the Hall of Park of Science and Technology Mr. General told about 179 Rescue Center, about its main challenges and opportunities of the basic requirements for applicants coming to service in the Center. Also, he spoke more detailed about the humanitarian operation in Kosovo of EMERCOM of Russia, about complexities of customs clearance. In conclusion, Major-General V. Yatsutsenko answered questions from students and officers of our University.
